Ned And His Wife Make One-Pot Garlic Butter Pasta


Happy Date Night!

8 ounces fettuccine
8 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic
1 pounds shrimp
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon sage
½ cup white wine
1 cup chopped parsley
1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Boil fettuccine (or your pasta of choice) for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside pasta.
Add 2 tbsp butter and 3 cloves peeled garlic into pot. Stir until garlic is translucent.
Add 1 lb shrimp and cook until just pink.
Add salt, pepper, sage and wine. Stir.
Add pasta, parsley, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and 6 tbsp butter. Stir and enjoy!

  1. Y'all…I saw that amount of butter and was like "nope."'s how to fix the recipe to make it a little…less fattening.
    1- only use 3 tbsp for the entire thing
    2- don't use that much parm…a little sprinkle on top gives good enough flavor
    3- if you really wanna get crazy with it, use whole grain pasta instead OR make it yourself
    4- roasted garlic adds TONS of flavor…and it doesn't take long to do either :)

  2. cooking with so much butter is completely unhealthy and unnecessary, you're probably going to die by heart attack in few years.

    Also parmesan cheese on fish/seafood… WTF!!! You're a savage, whoever you are Ned.

  3. I don't really get 'date night'. What are you US people doing every other night? Do you not spend it with your partner? Do you eat nothing? Please explain :D
